Who is Lelli

Maria Gabriela de Orleans e Bragança prefers to be called by her childhood nickname, Lelli, both in her personal and artistic life.

A descendant of families who reigned in Bavaria and Brazil, she was born and raised in the countryside. She was taught to paint as a child by her parents, both talented artists.

From this collaboration between the Ancienne Nonciature and Lelli de Orleans e Bragança, the exhibition Brumas (Mists) was born, taking place in Brussels from October 9 to 19.

Amidst lush tropical forests depicted in countless shades of green, revealing themselves through the mist, flying birds, and butterflies, Lelli delicately sublimes the beauty of tropical worlds in her canvases and presents her latest works in this exhibition.
